Create an HTML5 document that validates. One of the ways to validate your document is at: https://validator.w3.org/

Your document must be original.  For this first submission, it may be very simple.  Keep in mind that you are building towards a complete web page or web site designed by you.  Do not use a template - I will not accept one.  It must be original.

Save a copy of this document to bring and discuss in your learning team beginning in Week Two. Submit your HTML5 document to the Assignment Files tab above

Complete the exercises in the Lynda.com® video, "Up and Running with HTML5 Video" using the HTML5 document from Week One. Your HTML5 document should have an added video element after completing the exercises. Your HTML document should be a web page that can be continued to improve in the following weeks.

Save a copy of this document to bring and discuss in your learning team in Week Three. Submit your HTML5 document with an added video element to the Assignment Files tab above. Note:  Exercise files can be found within the Lynda.com® website.  Click on the button that is labeled "Exercise files" above the video you are viewing, then click the file name in the pop-up box to download the files to your computer. These will help you to learn what you need to continually improve.
